Hannah Irving, Academic Coordinator
ACADEMIC COORDINATOR: HANNAH IRVING
Hannah graduated summa cum laude from Franklin Pierce University where she majored in Biology and minored in both Mathematics and Chemistry. She started tutoring as a high school student and continued to do so throughout her years at Franklin Pierce. Since graduating, she has been privately tutoring high school students.
Hannah began working with the Shamrocks as the team’s Math and Science tutor and continues to hold that role within the organization. As the Academic Coordinator, Hannah is also the contact person for players and parents with questions and concerns about academics. She has become an invaluable asset in helping players navigate the NCAA Eligibility Center and assisting with the college application process.
As a member of the Boston Shamrocks we look at your development not just as an athlete, but as a student-athlete.
You can be the most talented player in the world, but if your grades aren’t where they need to be or your NCAA mandated core requirements haven’t been met, you will end up sitting in the stands watching your friends play college hockey.
We prepare you to excel, not just on the ice, but in the classroom and life.
HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION OPTIONS
LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL
Remain at your current, local high school. This option is only available if you live close enough to commute to practices or if your school offers remote learning.
Enroll in an NCAA accredited online high school. This option is available to those living in the Shamrocks’ residence hall as well as local players living at home. During the season, you will complete your online studies from the rink under the supervision of the academic coordinator and the team’s tutoring staff. Following the season, you will be able to continue your studies from home.
BILLERICA HIGH SCHOOL
Enroll and attend classes at Billerica Memorial High School while living in the Shamrocks’ residence hall. Following the season, you will continue to study at Billerica; returning home at the end of the school year.
