The Boston Shamrocks are pleased to announce junior forward Julia Masotta (Tewksbury, Mass.) has committed to the Norwich University Cadets women's hockey program for the 2019-20 season.

Masotta is the second member of the 2017-18 Shamrocks to commit to Norwich. Boston Shamrocks senior Taylor Tom (Kenora, Ontario) also recently committed to the Northfield, Vermont school. Shamrocks' alumna Amanda Conway (Methuen, Mass.) is currently a sophomore forward with the Cadets.  Conway was recently named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) 2017-18 Player of the Year.

The Cadets compete in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC). The women's head coach is Mark Bolding. The 2007-08 season marked the inaugural season of the Norwich Cadets as a varsity team. During the 2008-09 campaign, the Cadets enjoyed their first-ever ECAC East Conference Tournament Championship.  The Cadets also qualified for their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009. In only the fourth year as a varsity program the Cadets won their first Division III National Title in 2011.

2017-18 marks the eighth straight season the Cadets entered the NEHC postseason as the No. 1 overall seed.  In its 10 years as a varsity hockey program the Cadets have made it to the NCAA Division III final four 6 times and to the Championship Game three times.
