The Boston Shamrocks are pleased to announce senior defenseman Taylor Tom (Kenora, Ontario) has committed to the Norwich University Cadets women's hockey program for the 2018-19 season.

Tom will join Boston Shamrocks Alumna and sophomore forward Amanda Conway (Methuen, Mass.) at the Northfield, Vermont school.  Conway was recently named the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) 2017-18 Player of the Year.

The Cadets compete in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC). The women's head coach is Mark Bolding. The 2007-08 season marked the inaugural season of the Norwich Cadets as a varsity team. During the 2008-09 campaign, the Cadets enjoyed their first-ever ECAC East Conference Tournament Championship.  The Cadets also qualified for their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 2009. In only the fourth year as a varsity program the Cadets won their first Division III National Title in 2011.

2017-18 marks the eighth straight season the Cadets entered the NEHC postseason as the No. 1 overall seed.  In its 10 years as a varsity hockey program the Cadets have made it to the NCAA Division III final four 6 times and to the Championship Game three times.
