With her parents and brother proudly looking on, Boston Shamrocks senior defenseman Aly Peper of Arvada, Colorado recently signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI). By signing the NLI, Peper is committing to play for the NCAA Division I Harvard University's women's ice hockey program for the 2016-17 season.
Harvard competes as a member of the ECAC Conference. The Crimson played their first-ever regular season women's hockey game during the 1978-79 season. In 1999 Harvard was crowned the women's national champions by the AWCHA. In 2001, Harvard participated in the inaugural NCAA Championship tournament. Harvard have been crowned the Women's Beanpot Champion six times (2003-05, 2008, 2010, 2015). The Crimson are also six time ECAC women's champions (1999, 2004-08); five time ECAC women's regular-season champions (1999, 2003-05, 2008) and ten time Ivy League Champion (1987-89, 1999, 2003, 2005, 2008-09, 2013-14).
