Netminder Madi Litchfield kept the Shamrocks within striking distance, turning aside 59 shots in a 3-0 loss to NSA in AlbanyWhile the Shamrocks’ U19 team is still looking for its first win in
JWHL league play this season, the team is making progress, coming away
with a tie against the Washington Pride this past weekend in Albany, New
York. "I think we proved to ourselves that we can compete, and have
success in the league. We’ve made significant progress, and will
continue to improve, we just need to put together a full 60 minutes of
play," said Head Coach Josh Hechter.
After dropping their opening game to NAHA, the Shamrocks scrapped
with Colorado, picking up goals from Sydney Collins (Warwick, RI)
Colleen Shouldice (Rutland, VT) and Dakota Woodworth (Carlisle, MA),
before losing 6-3. The following evening the Shamrocks battled the
Pride, as netminder Maureen Bradlee stood tall and turned aside 27
shots, while Dylan-Mae Caron (Burrillville, RI) picked up the equalizer
late in the third. In the final game of the weekend, Madi Litchfield
(Williston, VT) kept things close, making 59 saves in a 3-0 loss to NSA.
